Yoga has been a profoundly grounding and humbling journey over the past 15 years. It has taught and continues to teach me an array of life lessons, the most important of which is the value of looking inward. 

I started my yoga journey in Durban in 2005 and have practiced a variety of yoga styles, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Iyengar. I did my 200 RYS teacher training at the Shala in Cape Town and have found genuine pleasure in finally being able to share my experiences with others through teaching. 

I'm passionate about the outdoors and nature, as well as sports (specifically trail running, MTB, SUPping, swimming and surfing), and am slowly developing the concept I've dubbed as Trail Yoga to combine my passions with my learnings, and simply share it with you. 

Trail Yoga is simply a combination of yoga that aims to open up the front line of the body (yup, the side of the body that is generally crunched over when we sit badly at our desks, watch TV, run, MTB, surf, etc), as well as work to strengthen the legs and core. It's supposed to be complimentary to sport, and help stretch out muscles, create space in the body and mind as well as work to connect your mind through the physical practice and breath.
